DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Students got the chance to jump into the real world, as they got to test their money-managing skills.

Carver 9th Grade Academy students spent the past two days making simulated financial decisions.

Students were given a job and an income, where they were asked to make decisions such as what car or house to buy.

Students also were challenged to go home and learn how their parents manage money, picking up any tips that may help in the future.

Topics such as taxes, credit scores, were also part of the simulation to teach real-life money skills.
