DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — February celebrates career and technical education month.

The city of Dothan recognized Dothan Tech, which is made up of 17 career and technical education programs.

Officials say 54% of the students at Dothan High School are involved in at least one of the programs with more than 100 certificates being dispersed during last year’s graduation.

Nearly 55 students take part in Cooperative learning, allowing them to go to school and work.

Dothan Tech goes by the saying, “Today’s students. Tomorrow’s workforce.”

The school was presented a proclamation by Mayor Mark Saliba and the Dothan City Commission during Tuesday’s commission meeting.
