DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — It’s been 43 years since the Dothan Technology Center was last renovated, however, that is about to change.
The money is coming from a $10.6 million dollar state bond given to the Dothan City Schools District. And Career Tech Principal, Joey Meigs says he is overjoyed.
Work has already started but he told WDHN how this will be setting a literal foundation for success, leaving a legacy for Dothan Tech students he explained.
“The contractors they talked about what the plans are what’s going into the building, and all the new updates and it’s just gonna allow them to be something proud of and you know set em up for success,” Meigs said.
Meigs said he looks forward to the new school year starting on August 16th.
