UPDATE:

The Dothan Utilites crew left at 10 a.m. on Wednesday but when they realized the damage to the area wasn’t as bad as expected, they turned back and came home.

The crew’s original mission was to help restore power to the Newberry, FL, area.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan utility crew is rolling out to aid those in Florida.

A Dothan Utilities crew is headed to Newberry, FL, to help restore power from the damage that Hurricane Idalia has caused.

The city asks everyone to keep this group and other linemen in their thoughts and prayers as they travel to work in dangerous conditions.
