Downtown Dothan hosts ‘Southern Fall on Foster Street’

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Just like Enterprise, Dothan celebrated the arrival of fall on Saturday as well for the ‘Southern Fall on Foster Street’ festival.

People flocked to Dothan’s downtown on Foster Street for fall festival games and crafts, scavenger hunts, face painting, pet costume contests, and more.

Local shops and restaurants were open, along with food trucks, and visitors even got to tailgate for college football.

Two employees with Dothan Leisure Services spoke on how the event was put on to celebrate the seasons as well as the Wiregrass.

“Well with Dothan Leisure Services, we just like to bring the community together so this was a great way with the fall festival for Dothan to get together and we are making smores here at the little park, for the community,” DLS employee Brieana Dawkins said.

“We have festival games, food, candy and it’s just a good environment for the kids to come and play,” DLS employee Breyonna Thomas said.

Dothan Leisure Services’ next event will be the drive-through trick or treat night on October 28 in James Oates Park.
