ENTERPRISE, Ala.(WDHN)—Two months ago, flames broke out in a Downtown Enterprise ravaging several businesses.
Despite that Sunday morning fire, local officials say businesses along Main Street appear
to be doing well this Christmas shopping season.
From mid-November to Christmas, the city hosts “Whoville” and a number of other events and attractions to draw both residents and visitors alike to the “City of Progress”.
Enterprise Director of Tourism, tammy Doerer, says surviving and prospering through adversity has
been the city’s tradition since its incorporation more than a century ago.
Doerer says by hosting fun activities like “Whoville” helps attract parents and grandparents along with
their kids experience downtown and other commercial sections of Enterprise.
