ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN)—With a little more than a month before the 2022 hurricane season officially begins, the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce held a prep class for its members.
“Hurricane Sally” made landfall in Gulf Shores in September 2020. The “Cat 2” storm caused beach erosion and “flash flooding” further north in the wiregrass.
On Thursday, a member of the Coffee County Community Emergency Response Team(CERT) in addition to other first responders said a “storm plan” is very important for retail owners in the event of a hurricane making its presence felt here in Southeast Alabama.
Beginning May 13th through the 21st, Cert training will be offered at the Enterprise Main Fire Station over two weekends. If you’re interested in taking the class, the registration number is 334-894-5375. There’s a 25-dollar registration fee.
