ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Enterprise City Schools Superintendent, Dr. Zel E. Thomas sent a memo to ECS parents on the decision of continuing the mask mandate.
Dr. Thomas indicated in the memo, that the school board has said previously they will review the mask mandate at the conclusion of each nine weeks. “Despite our community transmission numbers trending in the right direction we have been advised to continue our mask mandate a bit longer since Coffee County currently identifies as high risk. This is an improvement over the very high risk designation we held when we began school in August, but not low enough to prudently lift the mask mandate. Hopefully, our community numbers will continue to trend in a favorable direction to ultimately allow us to comfortably lift this mandate sooner rather than later.”
