Enterprise driver leaves road and kills 77-year-old pedestrian

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s are investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of an Enterprise man Tuesday night, according to a press release.

At approximately 6:20 p.m., on Coffee County 708, approximately one mile south of the Enterprise city limits, a single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian occurred.

Charles Hight Deaver, 77, was fatally injured when a 2016 Chevy Silverado driven by Iverson Louis Kelley, 21, also of Enterprise left the roadway and struck Deaver. Deaver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
