ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN)—EARLIER THIS SUMMER, GENEVA POLICE CHIEF PEPPER MOCK CONDUCTED “ACTIVE SHOOTER” TRAINING FOR
SEVERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN THE AREA.

NEXT WEEK, THE COFFEE COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY ALONG WITH ENTERPRISE CITY SCHOOLS WILL BE DOING “SIMULATED” TRAINING.

IT WILL INVOLVE VARIOUS SCENARIOS IN WHICH AN ACTIVE GUNMAN GETS INSIDE A SCHOOL, AND WHAT TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS SHOULD DO TO “DEFUSE” THE SITUATION.

LAST SUMMER, BROWN SAYS A SIMILAR “ACTIVE SHOOTER SIMULATION” WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL IN THE COFFEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT.
