EPD arrest Enterprise man for capital murder of juvenile victim shot in chest

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Coffee County Coroner Robert Preachers confirmed with WDHN News, the fatally shot victim has been identified as 15-year-old Myrell Smith of Enterprise High School.

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — A 28-year-old man is facing murder charges after a deadly shooting in Enterprise on Wednesday night.

Around 7:00 p.m., the Enterprise Police Department responded to a shooting in the 100 Block of Thompson Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive juvenile victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was later transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead.

According to a press release, at 10:45 p.m., EPD Detectives arrested and charged Deandre Marquise Flowers, 28, of Enterprise, AL with capital murder.

Flowers is being held in the Coffee County Jail with no bond.
