GENEVA, Ala. (WDHN) — February is Career Technical Education month in Alabama.
Statewide, more than 180,000 high school students are involved in learning a trade while working toward their academic diplomas.
Geneva Mayor David Hayes along with a delegation of teachers and state lawmakers took part in
the signing of a proclamation noting CTE month.
Since first taking office, Governor Ivey has stressed making high school students prepared for
higher education and being career ready.
