ALABAMA (WDHN) — The Flu activity in the state of Alabama has seen a small decrease.

The state’s influenza-like illness percentage is nearly 7 percent, but that’s a decrease from last week when Alabama was one of the few states in the highest tier for flu activity.

The southeastern district, which is the Wiregrass, is the fourth highest district in the state.

Hospitals in Dothan are also seeing a low number of flu patients Southeast Health has 7 influenza patients.

Although it’s a little of a decline, health leaders are still encouraging vaccinations, practicing good hygiene, and if you’re sick stay home.
