SAMSON, Ala. (WDHN)—Dothan City School Board Chairman, Mike Schmitz held his second mobile food pantry this past weekend.
More than 100 residents received a bag or two of groceries at the Samson Community Center on Highway 52.
Dothan realtor Anita Dawkins helped assemble a small army of volunteers who helped distribute items to those in need.
Dawkins says the need has always been in small, rural communities like Samson and COVID-19 has only made the need grow.
The next mobile feeding pantry will be at Abbeville Middle School on Saturday, March 13 at 10 a.m.
