DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — 19 motorcycles spun through the Circle City on Friday, as part of a fundraiser for The Dothan House of Ruth.
19 Fort Rucker motorcyclists, along with a transit van brought gently used clothes, toys, diapers, wipes, and cleaning supplies to The House of Ruth.
The Army is bringing awareness to sexual assault awareness prevention this month, so soldiers at Fort Rucker thought of this fundraiser for The House of Ruth.
Soldiers from several different states participated in the ride through the Circle City.
“It’s just heartwarming to see the huge population of individuals that have come out for not just the ride, but also the ones that have actually contributed to volunteering and putting their gently used clothing items to good use for individuals here,” AIT Operations Ashley Hogge said.
This group hopes to hold this fundraiser again and provide The House of Ruth more necessary resources.
