The impact forced Spears’ Impala into the back end of a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Richard Stephen Cooks, 30, of Elba. This forced Cooks’ Silverado to crash into the rear end of a 2010 Cadillac Escalade driven by Richard Lee Byers, 55, of Panama City.

The series of collisions resulted in fatal injuries to Spears, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Nothing further is available as troopers with ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the incident.
