GENEVA CO., Ala. (WDHN)— Friday and Saturday, Geneva County is “holding” its annual “Spring clean” free landfill use.
Individuals can bring “shrubbery trimmings” and other yard waste to the landfill located at the intersection of highways 52 and 65 between Samson and Geneva.
It’s “free” only for individuals. Contractors and those in business will have to pay the normal pricing.
Landfill personnel say no “hazardous” wastes, including batteries, liquid wastes, tires, and other
unacceptable items such as electronics which include “old” TVs, computers, and microwaves are not accepted.
Saturday’s “final” free clean-up for individuals will run from seven in the morning till two in the afternoon.
