MALVERN, Ala. (WDHN) — In Geneva County, the District One County Commissioner, Weston Spivey,
credits sheriff’s office personnel with the recovery of most of his stolen tools.
In addition to being an elected official, Commissioner Spivey owns a heating and cooling business along with doing home improvements.
Although Justin Jarrard is jailed in Houston County on a multitude of charges including auto theft and burglary. Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms says Jarrard is responsible for stealing thousands of dollars worth of Spivey’s work tools.
Sheriff Helms says Jarrard will be charged in Geneva County with receiving and possession of the stolen property.
Additional arrests are expected in the theft of Commissioner Spivey’s work tools.
