GENEVA, Ala. (WDHN)—This week, Geneva police held its first ever “Children’s Explorer Camp”.
Some 40 kids’ mainly in the elementary and middle school grades are learning everything from crime scene technology, to “staying safe” while on the computer.
The camp is being spearheaded by Police Captain Michael McDuffie along with several of his patrol officers and investigators.
Captain McDuffie says the police camp has been such a success, that he’s already planning to have more than one session for next Summer.
Friday afternoon, they’ll be a cookout for the police camp participants.
The kids will receive a completion certificate for their efforts.
