Guns, ammo stolen in Slocomb burglaries

SLOCOMB, Ala. (WDHN) — Slocomb police are investigating a pair of house burglaries on East Cox Street, according to Chief Scotty Howerton.

According to the department, three guns, ammo, and other items were stolen in the first burglary. In the second, the suspects only went through the house and looked through cabinets.

Both homes had their doors kicked in.

In the meanwhile, the department advises residents to install security systems to keep their good safe.
