HARTFORD, Ala (WDHN)— The Alabama Department of Transportation officials will be in Hartford looking for public input on the major four lane Highway 52 expansion.

The public inquiry will be held at the Johnny Hughes Center in Hartford on October 11 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Residents will have a chance to express their views on the two routes presented for the expansion, North of the existing Highway 52, or South of the highway.

Hartford Mayor Neil Strickland says the four-lane expansion will not affect the historic downtown square.
