DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Downtown Headland is getting into the holiday spirit this week with its annual Christmas tree lighting and parade.

This Thursday, December 2 will kick off all the Headland Christmas festivities starting with caroling from Headland Elementary School students, followed by the Christmas tree lighting, and end with the annual Christmas parade, which is an event that is looked forward to every year.

“This is one of our premier holiday events,” Adrienne Wilkins, Headland Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. “Everyone loves our Christmas parade especially when it’s at night. And we get to honor one special community member each year as our parade grand marshal.”

This year’s parade grand marshal is Ms. Beulah Morgan. The events will begin in downtown Headland at 5:30 all the way until 6:30 p.m. when the Christmas parade begins.
