Headland man convicted of manslaughter from 2019 fatal shooting

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — A man that was arrested for the November 30, 2019 murder in Ashford that occurred during a house party, has been convicted of manslaughter.

Suspect arrested in overnight fatal shooting

The trial for Deonte Latarus Gilmore began Monday and took four days before jurors returned a verdict of manslaughter against Gilmore.

The manslaughter offense in the state of Alabama is a Class B felony punishable by a sentence of no less then two years and no more than 20 years.
