Health expert speaks to Rotary on dementia care services

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A local healthcare service stopped by to talk to members at the Dothan Rotary Club Monday afternoon.

Interim Healthcare normally deals with patients who are suffering from dementia and President Claude Camp gave a presentation about the topic. The presentation highlighted early signs of dementia, how to communicate with someone who has dementia, and how you could help make their life easier.

The healthcare service does non-medical home care. They provide CNA’s, companions, home health aides. Their goal is to keep seniors safe.

Camp said it has been a little difficult to care for their patients during the pandemic.

He said they have taken all of the precautions to keep their caregivers safe so they can assist homebound patients.
