DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN)— Over the weekend, the Dothan Houston County Library System raised a grand total of $11,713 during its second annual Mini Golf Classic!

The funds raised during the Mini Golf Classic, held on Saturday, August 19, and Sunday, August 20, will support several library projects, including the Summer Reading Program, year-round story times, classroom enrichment activities, and more. These initiatives try to build early literacy, student success, and lifelong learning.

Participants got to play 18 holes scattered throughout the DHCLS Main Library building.

This is the second year that we’ve done this event, and it’s great to see how it’s grown. Not only did we have a great time, but we were able to raise funds for so many essential programs and activities that help make Dothan and Houston County a great place to call home.
