DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — First responders have blocked State Avenue in Dothan after a house fire.

Officials say the preliminary investigation reveals no one was home at the time of the fire and it seemed to start and been contained to the living room.

The home sustained considerable damage.

Smoke was visible from the back of the house and a hole in the roof.

Multiple crews are on the scene and are attempting to air out the house, which is across the street from a fire station.
