DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Recovery efforts are underway at the Howard Johnson hotel damaged by fire in the front office Tuesday afternoon.
Right now, the office is closed as they will spend the next few days assessing the damage and cleaning up the hazardous materials so that employees and hotel guests don’t get hurt or sick.
The hotel manager said fortunately the fire didn’t damage any of the guest rooms and they’re all safe since the guest rooms are in a separate building from the front office.
At this time, there is no certain time when the lobby will open back up, but they’re working as quickly as they can.
No cause has been listed for the fire at this time.
