DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Damage has been reported throughout the Wiregrass after severe storms and two potential tornados ripped through the area.

The Enterprise Country Club sustained major damage to the veranda of the main club building and lawn equipment was thrown around the lawn. This damage was likely caused by a tornado that touched down.

In Coffee County, a large tree fell and blocked the north and southbound lanes of Highway 189 between Elba and the Basin Community.

A tornado likely touched down on the west side of Dothan near Whatley Drive and John D. Odom Road causing tree damage in the area.

Trees were also confirmed down on:

  • Englewood Drive (Crews are working to remove debris)
  • Trawick Road
  • Whatley Drive (Tree fell on house)
  • Buena Vista Drive
  • Baker Trace
  • Hillstone Drive
  • El Dorado Street

A large tree was also uprooted and fell in the backyard of a home on Anna Lee Drive.

The National Weather Service reported multiple trees had fallen in Westgate Park, and power outages have been reported in the area.

Trees were reported down in the area of Trawick road in Taylor.

The National Weather Service out of Tallahassee will be in the area on Tuesday to survey the damage.
