HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — A Kinsey Police Officer was injured after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 431.
According to Houston County EMA, the crash occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 431 and Old Headland Avenue, in the 6200 Block of 431.
EMA Director Chris Judah says the officer’s patrol vehicle rolled into the ditch and the officer sustained minor injuries. The officer was transported to a Dothan area hospital for treatment.
It is currently unknown what caused the crash and Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency are leading the investigation.
The crash slowed traffic for a short time but the scene was cleared and traffic is moving at a normal rate.
According to Headland Fire and Rescue, at approximately 3:25 p.m., another crash occurred nearly 200 yards north of the first crash. Units arrived on the scene and found moderate damage and one patient was transported to a local hospital for observation,
