ELBA, Ala. (WDHN) – Fire crews in Coffee County worked into the night to tackle a late night blaze in Elba.
The Elba Fire Department was dispatched to a home at the corner of Plant Avenue and Guyton Street around 10:15 p.m. Friday night. The New Brockton Fire Department and Enterprise Rescue units also responded, along with local police and sheriff’s deputies.
Crews found a home engulfed in flames when they arrived. The vacant home had partially collapsed. Firefighters were able to get the large blaze under control by midnight.
No injuries were reported, according to the Elba Fire Department. An investigation is underway to determine how the fire started as no power was connected to the home.
