DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dothan Police Department is hosting a junior police academy for local youth.

the Dothan Junior Police Academy began its second training week on Monday.

Kids ages 12-16 are able to participate in activities such as:

  • Physical fitness training
  • Drills and ceremony procedures
  • Juvenile court services
  • Game warden demonstration
  • Vice Investigations
  • Tactical Flight Operations
  • Crime Scene procedures
  • Crisis Negotiations
  • Impaired driving

Graduation for this event will be held on Friday. Graduates will receive rewards for physical training, top gun, and top cadet.
