Level Plains is holding its annual fall clean-up through tomorrow. It is a time for Dale County city to provide its residents a chance to spruce up around their homes “free” of charge.
Large dumpsters have been located behind the Level Plains Volunteer Fire Department.
The town’s mayor, Ronnie Thompson, says it’s an opportunity for its residents to get rid of larger items that may be too big for regular trash pick up.

But tires or hazardous chemicals, including paint and vehicle batteries are “not” accepted.
The two-day, amnesty clean-up is only for the town’s 21-hundred residents.
From eight in the morning till noon Saturday, Level Plains residents can continue to bring their
unwanted larger items to the”citywide free clean-up behind the town’s fire department.
But if you miss it, they’ll hold a free “Spring” clean-up next April.
