ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — For the first time, John’s Chapel A.M.E. Church has joined forces with Enterprise City Schools to offer a summer feeding program.

Monday through Friday until July 21, The Enterprise City School Hunger Control Bus will make a stop at the church.

One-year-old Ricky and his mom enjoyed chicken nuggets in the church fellowship hall. Anyone 18 and under can stop by from 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. to get a hot lunch.

“We are thankful for the Enterprise School System to find money to support this endeavor. We’re here to love our children, be there for our children, and be there to prepare a hot, delicious lunch for our children,” says Pastor Willie White.

With the church being on the outskirts of downtown, a lot of kids will walk to the church to get a free lunch.
