SAMSON, Ala. (WDHN) — Samson High School is gearing up to welcome its new principal for the upcoming 2023-24 school year.
For the last five years, Bryan Peacock has been the assistant principal at New Brockton High School. Before that, he held the same job at Kinston School and also in the Coffee County School District.
With 23 years of teaching and administrative experience, the Enterprise native and 1993 Enterprise High School graduate now has landed his first principal job at Samson High School.
Peacock says good things are going on there, and he’ll evaluate at the beginning of next school year to see what’s working, and what may need some change.
“The things I’m going to do there are what I’ve done at every school. I’m just going to love kids, to do the things to make them better people, to make them better moms and dads and students,” says Peacock
Prior to getting his teaching credentials, Peacock was a standout baseball player at Wallace Community College in Dothan. Peacock’s first day as Samson High principal is June 1.
