Local park inspires children to think about future career avenues

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Today was the first day of Landmark Park’s Animal Adventures.

Animal Adventures is an educational program that let’s children and the community experience the creatures of the natural world.

This program is also a time for children to get hands on experience with different animals that they might not see on a daily basis.

Landmark Park’s Field Instructor says that programs such as this, inspired his career path and hopes Animal Adventures will do the same.

“Getting to see snakes and stuff at places like landmark park that’s what’s kinda lead me to being in the field,” Field Instructor Hunter Brannon said. “So I think it’s important one to help kids learn other avenues of what they could do for a career in the future, but the other part I think is that education shouldn’t just halt for two months when you go on summer break.”

Animal Adventures occur every Thursday and Friday for the months of June and July and registration is required.

To register for Animal Adventures and any other events you can visit Landmark Park Dothan.
