UPDATE:

OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — The pending motions hearing for the State of Alabama vs. Coley McCraney will be postponed until the following week.

The hearing that was scheduled for Thursday, July 21st, has been postponed but is rescheduled for Thursday, July 28th.

Those with knowledge of the case have not released the reason for the hearing to be postponed.

OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan man accused of killing two Dothan high school students in 1999 is set for a court appearance this week.

Coley McCraney is set to have a pending motion hearing on Thursday at the Dale County Courthouse.

During this hearing, lawyers on both sides will clear up any remaining motions they may have before the trial, which is set to start in August.

McCraney’s attorneys have been issuing subpoenas to people they feel are associated with the ’99 murder case — including a couple of former Ozark police officers.

Jury selection is scheduled for August 8th, with August 15th the full trial start date.
