DALEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN)—Monday morning, two veteran organizations combined resources to host a Memorial Day Service in Daleville.

Amvets Post 7 and VFW Chapter 6020 would honor the more than one-million-300-thousand service members who laid down their lives for freedom since the founding of America.

With Daleville being Gateway to Ft. Novosel, speaker after speaker would talk about how the wiregrass and its people have helped preserve freedom.

The playing of Taps concluded Monday’s service.
