Midland City man charged with attempted murder, police say

MIDLAND CITY, Ala. (WDHN) — On Saturday night, a Midland City man was arrested on multiple charges, police said.

At approximately 7:23 p.m. James Long, 48, was allegedly part of a road rage incident where he took out a gun and fired two shots at another vehicle, according to Midland City Police. No one was injured from the gunshots.

Around 9 p.m., Midland City Police located Long inside of his vehicle where he was arrested.

Long has been charged with attempted murder and assault-reckless endangerment.

Long was released from the Dale County Jail on Monday afternoon.

Police are still investigating the incident.
