DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — This year’s National Peanut Festival is offering guests different ways to have tons of fun.

From the rides to the many attractions, like the petting zoo and various food trucks, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

For those looking to walk away with a prize to bring home, guests should be sure to visit one of the multiple mini-game stands that the festival has to offer.

Some stands like the balloon pop, operated by Warren Blasich, do a good job at making sure that the little ones walk away with something special to bring home.

Blasich, a former Broadway performer for New York dinner theater, says that being at the festival and bringing joy to its guests, reminds him of his days performing in the bright lights.

“This is my stage. This is the closest I’ll ever get to Broadway again,” Blasich said. “This is my stage. I love entertaining people. I love giving kids bigger prizes for doing good in school. My daughter asked me nineteen years ago to give kids all bigger prizes and discounts for doing good in school. I said that was a brilliant idea, and I never stopped.”

The National Peanut Festival wraps up at the Fairgrounds on November 12.
