NEW BROCKTON, Ala. (WDHN) — Brianna Peterson graduated from New Brockton High School just two weeks ago, now she’s back at her alma mater bringing a special spirit to a beautification project.

On Thursday, Brianna Peterson was re-painting the main hallways in the school colors of burgundy and gray. It’s the first time in more than a decade that the school’s main foyer and hallways are receiving a makeover.

Over recent months, Brianna has been contracted by New Brockton for a downtown mural.

And now the school is paying its alumna to bring new luster to the facility which dates back to FDR’s Works Progres Administration days.

Brianna says it could even lead her on a career path: Brianna says she started her creative painting at her mom’s restaurant in new Brockton.
