Last week, the school board unanimously selected him as Enterprise City’s new superintendent.
He will “oversee” approximately 68-hundred students and nearly one thousand faculty and support personnel.
Dr. Thomas says “we just want to grow to make it better there’s always room for improvement. We’re good but we can be better. You can’t be stagnant because we
have a new group of kids every year. New experiences, new opportunities. So every year we have an opportunity to do great things for the
kids and the community as a whole.”
In the last 25 years, all of Dr. Thomas’ jobs in education have been in the wiregrass.
That includes stints in Ozark city schools, Daleville city, Henry County, and the last 16 years at Enterprise city schools.
Mike Gurspan says “with all that’s going on with the enterprise school district. His number one priority is education and academics.”
“It’s academics. We have to make sure we provide the highest academic settings, environment, and settings for our students. That’s why we’re here,
to educate our students. We’re here for the community through educating the community” according to Dr. Thomas.
