No more kid couch potatoes, Wiregrass 2-1-1 has volunteer opportunities

Local News

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — For parents who may have a couch potato at home and are looking to get them involved in the community, Wiregrass 2-1-1 has several volunteer opportunities for your child.

Resource Manager Marc Cronin said this will be beneficial to kids’ social and development skills.

Cronin said with the pandemic keeping them at home, they were denied honing these skills.

“Getting out and communing with other people, it’s good for them socially. In addition, they can gain some skills while volunteering or working a side job,” Cronin said.

To get your kid involved you can visit Wiregrass 2-1-1.
