COTTONDALE, Fla. (WDHN) — The City of Cottondale issues a water boil notice that will take effect on Tuesday.

The water boil will begin on Tuesday, October 4th, at 8:00 am due to a water line repair.

This will affect approximately 25 houses in the following areas:

  • Magnolia Street
  • Broad Street
  • Elliot Drive
  • Pippin Lane
  • Short Street
  • Chipley Street
  • Williow Street
  • Register Lane
  • Buttercup Lane

As a precaution, it is advised that all water that is used for cooking, drinking, washing dishes, or brushing teeth be boiled. A rolling boil for one minute should be sufficient. Bottled water may be used as an alternative.

The notice will stay in effect until the water line is repaired and the water has met safety standards, according to the city. Affected residents will be notified at that time.

If you have any questions or concerns about the water boil notice, please contact the Cottondale City Hall at 850-352-4361.
