HEADLAND, Ala. (WDHN) — The attacks that happened on September 11th, 2001 is an event the country will never forget.

One Headland High school teacher is making sure her students remember it but not from social media and videos alone.

United States history teacher, Mandy Williams had guest speaker Bobby Hamill, who was an FBI agent when 9/11 happened, speak to her class.

William explained how in the past, she taught students by allowing them to watch videos and read articles online. However, this year, she wanted them to truly understand the impact 9/11 left on the country and its citizens.

She said her students have enjoyed this way of learning about the tragedy much better.
