OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — Ozark City Schools is teaming up with over 30 agencies to help bring awareness to mental health resources in the Wiregrass.

The Aware Fair on the Square is an opportunity for the people of the Wiregrass to become more aware of the resources available when it comes to mental health, while also enjoying rides, games, and food.

The fair is a family-friendly event that everyone can enjoy but also become more educated.

“So we want to encourage and always get people to really realize they are not alone,” Ozark City Schools Mental Health Services Coordinator, Laura Bruce said. “There’s support out there if you just know where it is, know who to call, so we want to make sure that people know who to call for next time, or maybe they can pass the information to someone else for the next time.”

The Aware Fair on the Square will be on May 7 in downtown Ozark, and all rides will be free for anyone who attends.
