OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — On Monday, several community partners came together to show their appreciation for the staff at Dale Medical Center.
According to the Chief Nursing Officer, Donna Calloway, in the parking lot at Dale Medical Center, members of the Ozark community provided a meal for every health care worker at the hospital.
Calloway said they provided little over 300 meals in all were served and the lunch was a way for the community to show its gratitude for dale medical center’s employees. She said this gesture encourages them to keep persevering.
“This is what gives our staff the ability to keep going on cause our staff is physically and emotionally exhausted and to know that you have the backing of the community is just phenomenal,” Calloway said.
The lunch was a partnership with the City of Ozark, Pea River Electric Co-Op, Ozark Piggly Wiggly, Ozark El Palacio, First United Methodist Ozark, and Ozark Baptist Church.
