OZARK, Ala (WDHN)— Ozark City Schools has announced their new principal for Lisenby Primary Schools.

According to a press release from Ozark City Schools, Matt Barton, an experienced educator, has been named the new principal of Lisenby Primary.

Barton previously served as Student Services Supervisor for Coffee County School System.

Barton holds a Masters’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Troy University and has over fourteen years of educational experience. Some of that experience includes seven years in elementary administration, serving as the assistant principal of Hillcrest Elementary School and principal of Zion Chapel k-12 School.

Ozark City Schools will host a Principal Meet and Greet on January 5, for the community to get to know Barton.
