OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — Ozark Police have added a new member to help assist in reducing drug crimes in the City of Ozark.
Kala, a 16-month-old Belgian Malinois, was introduced as the newest police dog on the force.

Kala is certified by The National Narcotic Detector Dog Association to help with tracking drug narcotics. She will be utilized to help assist in reducing drug crimes in the City of Ozark.
Kala is the only police dog on the Ozark Police force. She will be used as needed per an officer’s request and circumstances.
Corporal Dustin Folk is her handler at the Ozark Police Department.

Tim and Johnnie Watson, from Hometown Lenders in Ozark, donated to the Ozark Police Department to help with the purchasing and training of Kala.
