OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — Roadwork on the Ozark portion of Highway 231 is scheduled to start on Monday.
The project will consist of micro-milling, resurfacing, and traffic stripe on U.S. Highway 231 from the intersection of Alabama Highway 123 to the intersection of Alabama Highway 27, according to the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT).
Left turn lanes from U.S. Highway 231 onto Deese Road will also be put in during the project.
Drivers should expect travel delays and lane closures throughout the project.
The Wiregrass Construction Company, Inc., out of Dothan will be leading the project.
The roadwork is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2022.
