ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN)—At Pinedale Elementary in Enterprise, the administration and faculty went over several different scenarios involving a gunman firing indiscriminately at students and teachers.

Over the next week, the Coffee County EMA teamed up with Enterprise police on several plans in the
event of the “unthinkable”.

In May, a “deranged” gunman killed 17 students and two teachers at an elementary in Uvalde, texas.

Teachers learned their roles in “school lockdowns”, and how to best keep their students from
being traumatized in a time of dire emergency.

This afternoon, a similar exercise was done at enterprise high school. This week, personnel in each of the district’s 11 schools will be trained on the latest techniques to save students and teachers in the event a gunman enters a learning facility.
